Baby’s First Aid Kit for Travel
The next stop on our world travel with baby route was Castellon. Hardly recognised by tourists, it therefore still has its Spanish authenticity. The people are elegant in a casual manner. In addition, the streets are great to walk around with baby in shade during daytime. Most noteworthy, the long beach with beautiful mountains at the back reminds you of Ipanema beach.
We had an Airbnb apartment, which was actually a surprise. We booked it only based on one photo which showed the view out of a window. So we had no idea how the apartment looked like and how big it was. Finally, it turned out to be quite a big flat with 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms in the middle of the city.

At that time of our world travel with baby, or nomad was 3 months old and we went to a local physician for a routine checkup. We did the appointment 1 week in advance. The physician was very nice and took all the time that we needed. Surprisingly, we only paid 60 € at the end.
Furthermore, we needed to get a second follow-up vaccination. (We did the first in Germany). In order to do that, we got a referral to a medical center. We needed to buy 1 of the 3 vaccinations in a pharmacy in advance. The other ones were directly available at the medical centre. The total cost for this procedure (incl. 2 vaccines) was even more surprising: 0 €!

Back in Germany we spoke to 2 physicians regarding our trip. One of both said that it’s a great idea and the other one was not happy at all. Both Spanish physicians were not a bit concerned that we are travelling with a 3-month old.
The rest of the time we met some friends for dinner a few times and went to the beach with our baby and a beach shelter. Furthermore, we spend a day at a Bob Marley chiringuito (beach bar). While my husband was working, I wrote the blog and baby nomad was sleeping.
